The Curse of The World Coolest Rain Gauge

I still haven't really switched to weight-loss mode so I haven't really lost anything since I came back to CK. The main reason is the weather and I'm blaming that on my purchase of the World's Coolest Rain Gauge last month.

We didn't get the record rainfall that hit the the east coast last week but the rainy weather has made it hard to get out to hike or bike and I just haven't been able to drag myself to the fitness room.

It looks pretty certain that another wet weather pattern is going establish itself for most of next week. This is decidedly not good news for my tight weight loss/fitness schedule.

So Here I Am

I got distracted and missed the end of my trial period. Huh.

For the most part I'm ambivalent about being back at CK but one thing's for sure: I'm not going through the tutorial AGAIN. I've put up my own damn crown. Sue me.

I use the CK Nutrition and Exercise Program software on my laptop but there's still one particular feature that's only available online, the weekly calorie breakdown.

The peaches are throwing me way off my carb and sugar targets. This morning's peach was 10.5 ounces and there was nothing to do but eat every bit of it. Soooo good.

Drying Out

It's all good. The weather pattern is finally shifting, the humidity is finally dropping and – and! – the Pennsylvania peaches are in! Blueberries AND now peaches!

I rode my 26mi loop yesterday without any problem but zoned out afterwards. Suffice it to say I'm still working on my endurance level.

I pulled a container of fagioli from the freezer for dinner and used some of my precious fresh volunteer garlic on the crostini. Fabulous with some tomatoes from the garden....
