Woo hooo!! My weight was down to 164 this a.m. It crawled it's way up to 167 and that's ridiculous. My next personal goal is to get down to 158; since I weighed 158 only a month ago, it should be pretty easy. It's going to be tougher to hit 150, but I'll get there if I stay on track with my diet and exercise.

Ron is starting a weight-loss contest sometime after Christmas. The rule at the office is that we should all just give Ron the $10 and not worry about the weight loss part. Everyone cheats on weigh-in because this is a serious contest involving mature adults :bigeyes3:!!! This year I'm going to go out for a Chinese dinner the night before weigh-in and eat about 4 low-cal bran muffins and drink a gallon of water right before we record our starting weight :teeth3:. I should be able to gain 5 or 6 pounds on a very short-term basis. I intend to kick that sucker's butt this year--beating Ron at his own game will be like frosting on the weight-loss cake of life!! You can just overdo this business of being a a mature, responsible grown-up.

I'm doing pretty good today--so far I've been right on track with my plan. In a few minutes I'm going to go to the gym and push some poor innocent pieces of iron around, get all sweaty, and then come home and shower. Since I don't have company coming for dinner today, my plan for the rest of the day is to hang out by the fire and read a book. If I'm really ambitious, I'll do the dishes and manage a couple loads of laundry!

I think I'm starting to sort my meds out. I took my BP meds at noon today--they kind of kicked my butt for about 30 minutes but I had a cup of strong tea and I am starting to feel pretty good. I'll see how tonight goes--I've been getting a sinus-type headache in the evening that has been really nasty. I'm going to have a cup of tea with dinner--I'll see if the caffeine helps.

Good workout today!:clap: I pushed some moderately serious weight around and then finished up with a brisk walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes. I'm not sure the calories burned are exactly right, but at least it's a number that is consistent day after day.

I planned my meals for tomorrow--I may not follow my plan, but at least it's a starting place. Friday is kinda my day off, so I don't worry over much how my calories turn out as long as I don't go crazy. Instead of the tuna I may go get a sandwich at the Co-op (YUM!) or maybe something else. But maybe not. My workout won't be so tough either, but I am going to go to the gym and do something for an hour or so--probably just fiddle around on the elliptical and listen to my IPOD.

I think I'm going to head off to bed--tomorrow morning is going to come pretty early.
