I started my blog this morning, but it was so goofy
I deleted it. It made absolutely no sense at all.
Today was good. I think I finally figured out my med timing so I don't feel so yucky!
BP meds at about 11 a.m., byetta at 4:30 a.m. or so and again at 2 p.m. I need to eat a piece of a backcountry bar at 5 a.m. and again at 2:30 or so--these bars are good and they seem to keep my blood sugar from dropping so fast. As long as I eat them on an empty stomach the delayed gastric emptying doesn't seem to mess with carb absorption. Plus they taste good--unlike some bars that are absolutely nasty.
Anyway I felt good all day--no headache, no upset stomach, no hypoglycemia--Yee Haw and it's about time!
I just accidentally deleted a bunch of my entry--darn it.
I must be getting senile. But I guess getting old and senile beats the alternative.
I ate good today and exercised with enthusiasm. One day at a time becomes one week at a time and that becomes one month at a time and so on. It's all about staying on plan and not getting side-tracked. This is going to be my year. I am going to be one buff chick by the time I turn 60 in about a year!
Larry and I are going to build our annual fruitcake next weekend. I calculated calories in the whole recipe--a whopping 20,330 calories!!!
Probably not too bad since the whole recipe makes about 10 pounds or so of fruitcake, but it is still pretty darned impressive. Once the cakes are baked, I'll weigh the whole batch so I can get a real idea of what the nutrition per ounce really is.
Kittens are such a help when you're typing. Merlin2 just walked across the keyboard and the outcome was not exactly standard English. But he's a bright kid and he'll start being able to spell better in a few months. Or not. I think it's time he go sit on Larry!
