Today I set my calories at 2500 per day with a goal of at least 180 g of protein and a boat-load of carbs. I'll probably fine-tune this tonight after I meet with Mike, but I needed a plan. I know I need a bunch of calories for rebuilding and recovery, but I don't even have a clue how to manage this. My weight bounces 4-5 pounds up and down -- making it hard to tell if I'm gaining or losing or what.

Today was better than yesterday. Tomorrow will be better than today.:rock1:

I checked my various measurements today--BP was 114/64; HR = 62; O2 Sat = 92%. My weight is up a little, but that's all fluid weight. I had a BM.:thumbu2: Maybe there's hope afterall. :laugh5:

Today was better than yesterday and tomorrow will be better than today.

My sweetie:kiss: fixed breakfast for me this morning -- bacon and pancakes with butter and real maple syrup. Just what the doctor ordered and then he even cleaned up the kitchen!!:heart1: Then we went out and did "stuff". First we went to Boise for my scheduled bone density scan but the computer was messed up so the appointment was moved to Thursday.

Yesterday was kinda tough, today was OK. The CT scan was apparently OK, but I didn't see it for myself and I only got the quick feedback from the urologist; no radiologist report yet. Today I saw my internist (what a great guy!)--my crit was up to 31 and my hemoglobin was 11.5! This is great news because it means my body is doing just what it's supposed to do--produce red blood cells at warp speed. My job will be to eat enough calories and protein to fuel this high-powered manufacturing proc...

Tomorrow I'm going to start logging what I eat. If I'm going to eat milk shakes and ice cream to get in enough calories and to manage protein, I'm going to have to track this stuff. It could get out of hand pretty darned easy. I'll practice by trying to list my calories for today.

I really do not feel very good at all. My left lower abdominal area is just plain sore--if feels like there is a round canteloupe-sized sore area there. Blood extravasation from the bleed is definitely greate...
