Wednesday--halfway through the week. I'm going to go for a walk in a few minutes--I need to take an early lunch because I have a CPE webcast at noon. It's good timing because the computer is searching files enthusiastically!

I went for a great walk at 11 a.m. on my early lunch--about 50 minutes. I like walking with John, but he tends to meander a little too much for me. I really want to pick it up a little because I want to make this just a tad more aerobic so I can burn a few more calories. Even so, I'm up to 3898 steps on my pedometer. Just going back and forth to the bathroom and general walking around should get my steps up to 5000 or so. If I want to get up to 10,000 steps today I need to stop at the gym and walk on the treadmill or stepmill on the way home.

I really want to start running in the a.m. Time is a little short in the morning since it doesn't really get light until 5:30 and I need to leave for work at 6. I wonder if "The Islands" has enough street lighting so I can run over there? I'll check tomorrow morning--just drive over and look. If it's light enough I'll go for a short run. If not, I'll check around and see if I can find a better place--maybe over at the Rec Center.

Note: I managed just over 10,000 steps today. It wasn't all that hard, but it was time-consuming. Maybe that's why it works--you're walking instead of eating!!! I have to admit I'm getting a real kick out of that silly little pedometer.
