Weight this morning was a thrilling 211.6 -- not good, but I suppose it could have been worse. I did get up this morning and row for a bit (a whole 10 minutes) and now I am having my first cup of coffee -- first cup in the morning is always the best.
I have a short paper to finish up in a few minutes. I should be able to get that done in a couple of hours. My goal is to get it done before I go to school. First class is at 10:30, so I should have plenty of time. And, if I don't quite get it finished, I have time after Civil Procedure--almost 3 hours to get 'er done. After that, I really want to get the outline done for my Legal Writing Class. That memo is due Monday morning -- it's not really graded (sort of P/F) but I want to get this figured out.
The one thing I would really like to do here in law school is Law Review, and that is a very big deal. If I don't make it, well that's the way the cookie crumbles, but it is my goal. (Goals are important, even if they aren't life-changing -- sort of like being able to do 10 pushups!) I think that if I am one of the top 10 in my class after spring semester, I get a "letter of intent;" but there is also a writing test that could get me there as well. I need to follow up on this.
It's also Friday, which means I need to do a little shopping for the week. Not so much this week, but I do need some bread and some Tylenol (that's a Walmart item). I may actually get going a little early and get the Tylenol on my way to class--that way I'll miss some of the insanity of Friday afternoon.
