I'm realizing how dependent I am on spellcheck - and how horribly I write without it, so can someone tell me how to install the google spellcheck tool bar I hear about all the time? You would never guess that I actually write for a living. My previous entry was nearly incomprehensible to me this morning when I re-read it. And I wasn't :drunk: .

Prizes for anyone who can translate the below from Will-speak to English:

I am mentally gearing up for our trip to AZ in a few weeks. This will be the first trip with 2 kids, so it could be lots of work and stress. I hope not. A very good friend of mine said she has stopped calling vacations "vacations" with her 2 boys since there is no relaxing involved. She calls them "adventures" instead. I'll just try to plan and pack as wisely as possible, and hope for the best.

OMG - huge news from my current employer. My director and mentor called to tell me is going to retire soon. This will make my transition to my new job so much easier. I was DREADING giving him my two week notice. Dreading it. It also makes my decision to leave feel even more appropriate and timely - who knows who would get his position after he left...we've been through enough directors who did NOT work to be very wary of anyone coming it and trying to "manage" the department. I have zero interest in training in a new director. Zero. So - yippee for the timing of this change. I ordered some basic insurance training manuals yesterday and am anxious to start learning about my new industry.

Do any of you carry your own dental insurance or go without b/c your company doesn't offer it? If so, I'd be interested in any advice in that area...

Oh...the 2nd half of Maya's two's has really been all about growing -- in all aspects. I think she has gained much more in this 2nd 1/2 than in the first. Language in particular. I'm still amazed at how much she has picked up in such a short amount of time even hearing our language.

I don't have any recommendations, I never really got into the fitness DVDs because I preferred going to the gym. It's not so easy to get to the gym anymore, so...I'm going to DVD route. I'll let you know if I find any really good ones!

oh wow-5 wks! must be a sweet little one!!! That's nice that one of you get to stay home with the kids!!! ;) I do mostly, but also work from home handling all the wholesale for our bakery, plus other odds and ends. For instance, tomorrow I've got to take an all-day food safety certification class (ugh!). Another great place to look for info on preschools is to find out if there are any meetings in your city where they all come to present or discuss the different options. Then, of course, observing your little one at different schools to see what the best fit seems to be. ;) BTW, we offer our employees health and dental. The insurance co's are pretty competitive so they should be able to provide you with all the info you might need (probably more than you want!).

I have a monkey harness for when Daniel is walking and we have to travel. Just go with the flow and you'll do fine.

I only got the first one. :$ I have gone without dental insurance in the past. It's fairly pricey to buy your own, so unless you have chronic expensive problems, it's not a bad gamble to pay your own way. Most of the things that cost lots of $ (crowns, root canals, etc.) are under $1,000, & most dentists will set up payment plans. Does your new employer have one of those plans where you can set aside pretax money for uncovered medical expenses? Usually dental is one of the things you can use that for.

Hi Lynn :) How old are your two? My son is 2.5 and I'm due in June for baby #2. I have been really REALLY laid back with preschool stuff. A lot of the kids we started out in playgroups with are already in one or another and have also been in daycare (Something I was not interested in at all). For me, the most important thing about the preschool was whether or not I would want to go there LOL! but not kidding at all. We only looked at co-ops so that we can remain involved, where as a lot of other folks I know were looking at it as a way for more free time for themselves-i.e. built-in babysitting. It really just depends on what you are hoping to get out of it. You can tell I am obviously slanted in one direction, but I don't think that anyone's decision is wrong or right. Just figure out what you need, then ask around and I'm sure you'll find it. The programs that we liked start when the children are at least 2yrs 9months and most are potty trained. They seem to build a community between the parents and everyone knows all of the children. Parents have to volunteer their time 1x/week during the program that your child is in. Kids attend either a morning or an afternoon program 2-3x/week to start (following years time may increase). Hope this helps! ;)

Here's the tool bar link for Firefox: http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/toolbar/FT3/intl/en/index.html
Because I don't use IE, I keep getting redirected to the Firefox link. Just search Google tool bar IE and you should end up that the right place. I like using Firefox because the spellcheck is built in. ... I got the first Will-speak correct. :)
