I got to thinking so hard last night about whether or not to have another baby. I know, I know. Am I crazy? How many entries have I written about the utter fatigue and frustration of having two such young ones around? But, I think, after pondering it while stroking Baby Ellen's sweet, velvetty head as she fell asleep in my arms, that the desire to have that second and third and fourth baby is a desire (at least in me) to do it better this time - to appreciate each moment more. Am leaving for my solo vacation today at noon, after lunch at work. Am very nervous – it’s the first time I’ve left Will for longer a few hours in two years, and Ellen in her whole life. I did Ellen-duty last night, partly because Steve had had it up to his ears with something (he couldn’t articulate) and needed to go to bed, but also because I wanted to since I feel so much closer to her in g...

I checked out Anna Karenina on CD from the library, and am listening to it during my commute. I’m an English Major with a big whole where the classics should be. While not necessarily a true literary classic, I listened to the full Middle Earth trilogy on CD which I would probably never have gotten through on paper. So, we’ll see how Anna Karenina goes. So far, its well written and interesting. (I’ve listened to fluff on CD, too, like Dan Brown’s Deception Point and The First Wives Club – its go...
