View LYNNABEL's food & exercise for this day
Okay. Super annoyed. Just lost a blog entry.
I have limited mental capacity to reproduce these articulate works of art, people.
I voted this morning. I loved seeing the diversity of people in line. So many were new voters and so many were new Americans. It was very powerful to see their enthusiasm. I teared up as I was leaving because I kept thinking, “I hope I’m part of something historic today.” I also kept thinking of Barack’s Grandmother, and how bittersweet if he has a victory without her.
Very powerful sermon on Sunday at church about civic duties and spirituality:
I cried during the whole service. But, I cry at every service. I probably need help – on the other hand, how great to be so moved every Sunday.
I’m looking at a house tonight after work!
Exicitng, yes? Its smaller than we have now from a square footage standpoint, but has 1 more bedroom, which we need. And the location! And the lake!
It’s a long shot – we’d have to make a low ball offer contingent on the sale of our existing home (good luck, righ?! November in this market. Not likely). But, stranger things have happened.
What else – just got news that my dear friend in CA (not you, Callie – but can’t you jump on her bandwagon, please) is moving back to the midwest. Yippee!!!
Plateau was broken this weekend. Good reminder to myself to just keep on keeping on.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to workout much this week because I’ve gotten way dizzy and lightheaded during my workouts. I think I need to eat earlier in the day. So, I’m going to give my body a break this week and start up again next week with a slightly different schedule.
Ellen is feeling better, finally. Its become very obvious, though, to both Steve and I that she is very needy when I’m around. She wants me to hold her all the time. I finally found a sling I can use with her to save my left arm some aches and pains. She’s sleeping much better lately – still gets up once in a 10 hour stretch, but I’ll take it. And it still gets me some snuggle time with her. Love me some baby snuggling.
Will’s party went perfectly. Seriously – the ONLY thing we decided we’d do differently is to bring wipes. Other than that, he and his friend and their parents had a great time. Steve and I did some major self-back-patting on that one.
My son is 3. Its SUCH a mind-bender for me. 3. I can’t quite grasp it yet.
“Oh, Mama – can I kiss your owie?” “Oh, Mama – sawee you-ah fwusawaited.”
