I donít do this very often (get into fitness crazes), but I jumped on the 30 Day Shred bandwagon, and did the first workout today. It was hard, but I finished, and have recovered. Iím sure Iíll be a bit sore tomorrow, but I really like the short format of the workouts. Iíve never been able to do much more than 25 minutes over my lunch hours here at work, so this is great workout to have as an option. I think Iím going to do a month of it, then start rotating back in my other standard workouts. I agree with Staci that Jillianís style is very effective.
There is so much to blog about that Iíve been avoiding it because it all feels like too much to write about. Its nothing hugely horrible, just actively unpleasant. So, maybe I should just not spend the time writing about it when I donít think the writing will resolve much anyway? Okay Ė decision made.
Instead, Iíll think about some compliments I got this last week from my sister and husband, and this weekend from my friend M. I just handled an impromptu meeting with a VIP in a way I felt good about, and while my eating habits have been HORRENDOUS lately, Iím back to basics this week and feeling good about it.
It has been a cool July here in central Minnesota. It is hard to believe that it is August already. I keep thinking that 2009 just began.

Iím looking forward to this weekend. I have a great book Iím picking up at the library. Hereís to tons of reading. Too bad its only Monday.
The shingles are gone, thank goodness. I think my ulcer might be back, but it seems to keep dormant if Iím moderate with tomatoes and coffee and alcohol.
