Re: maintenance, wish I could say that I was a tower of knowledge. Wow! I haven't blogged since November, which is when I went onto maintenance. I did pretty well up to Christmas but my eating has been out of control since Christmas. Out of control is probably too strong a phrase. It has not been as controlled as I want it to be. I would put things in my mouth--almonds, pretzels etc. I was inching up on my weight and though I was still in the green zone I decided that I would log again. ...

Moving forward on Maintenance

Well, I am still maintaining with the supports of logging, weighing twice a week and posting in the forums. I know the "next step" is to try it without logging, while maintaining all other supports along with the Goals & Accountability thread. I added one hundred more calories to my goal because my weight is still falling. Continuing in to maintenance...

Well my weight is maintaining. I'm moving out of the "honeymoon" phase of being in maintenance and experiencing more temptation and wanting to eat foods, so it is when you are at this real world point that real work can begin. We ate barbeque tonight. I love barbeque but very hard to log and feel like you have done justice to the task.

Getting in to maintenance

I have been on maintenance for a week now. It presents its' own challenges with "more" calories. My motto through all of this has been sustainability. My weight that I got down to has to be sustainable. My calorie restriction has to be sustainable. My activity level has to be sustainable. On to Maintenance

I officially hit my goal weight on Tuesday and I am on Maintenance.

I feel like I've done a good job of preparing for maintenance and I am glad to be here. What I've done is read about successful maintainers (will keep doing this), post on Goals & Accountability thread which promotes a "what will I do today to be successful" approach and continue to log and weigh food. CK does not tell you to do this in maintenance. They advise that logging food is simply not a livable long...
