View RENIGEID's food & exercise for this day

Photo of wild turkeys in yard behind bird feeder. The old feeder in the photo is several years old. When I first built it there were 3/8" perches, 3" long on every side, 4 sides. About 24 total perches. Now they are all worn off to only stubs! Many thousnads of tiny feet have worn them away over the years. it is now looking haggard and forlorn but I had a lady come buy a couple of years ago and try to buy it. I told her I could build her one like it but she insisted she wanted the old one with the weathered look. I refused. It has sentimental value. It has cedar shakes on the outside and holds about six gallons of mixed seed. One part wild bird seed, one part fancy scratch feed and two parts sunflower seed. I usually buy 200 pound at a time and keep it mixed in a very large barrel. Nuff said! Jim
