View RENIGEID's food & exercise for this day
Good morning friends,
Yesterday was another of those beautiful days that can only be described in fairy tales. I am looking forward to another one just like it. Fall is probably my favorite time of the year even tho it is some what of a sad time with everything dying and going to asleep for another four or five months. But then that makes us appreciate spring even more after the dreary days of full blown winter with the snow and cold winds.
Both Ebby and I are still doing well and are hopeing for a healthy winter. Getting older is no picnic but it does have its advantages such as retirement and getting to stay in during bad winter days if we want.
Sincerely hope all of you have survived the recession (depression) without too many ill effects. I know the extreme drop in the stock market has hurt many folks. My opinion in dealing with this would be to have someone in the white house (if there be men of such caliber anymore) that would name names (congressmen and senators alike) that failed in their elected positions and insist that those responsible be given good long jail times. I must admit that putting a man like Paulson in charge of monitoring the spending of 790 trillion dollars after he has done such a lousy job of fulfilling the jobs he has had handling money makes me think the president has put the "fox in care of guarding the henhouse". Alas, seems we are treading down the road of "no return" in looking for people who will accept responsibility for their actions. Anyway, I will be voteing for McCain this time as the lessor of the two evils. I must say that I do approve of his choice for vice president. Washington needs more new faces and believe me, experience or no experience a new face is what we need to remove some of the "same old, same old. Sorry about the soap box folks but BOY does it feel good to vent!
The mom and baby pictured are so very tame with Ebby and I that I worry about the upcoming hunting season.
Take care all (and thanks for the many prayers and thoughts, you know who you are) and God bless if I may still say so.
Your buddy and friend Jim
