View SAXONHARP's food & exercise for this day

Friday at work was as horrible as I thought it would be. People were stunned that an entire department was eliminated. Today we now get to figure out how to get our projects done without a graphics department. Remember that we are a publishing company and do not have a graphics department.

It was nice to have a 3 days weekend to get away from work. I honestly did not think of work at all until this morning. I just need to focus on managing my projects and not get caught up in drama. They keep telling me that they need me and do not have plans to get rid of me but I just can't really trust it. I really don't have the energy for a job search but I have to, to protect myself.

This weekend I had my first 5k. The goal was just under 30 minutes. My time was 30:53. It was crazy hot and humind in St. Louis this weekend so I was not too upset about the time. I was careful how I paced myself because of the heat and I was really glad I did because I was stuggling the last quarter mile. It is a PR!!! My last 5K best time was 32:18!! I will take it.

Eating wise I did OK. I did not log much this weekend and I am scared to weigh myself.....still. So I am making a commitment to log everything this week! I will make a blog post each day even it it is just a small checking in. When I did this last year I lost 10 pounds. So I am going with what had worked in the past. Today my workout schedule has a big "REST" on it:) I am going to enjoy the rest day!

Great PR woman! :rock1: Don't forget that for every 5 degrees over 60 you can slow down over double digits (in seconds) per mile. I say be very proud of that time!

Congats on the 5K PR - fabulous! Focusing on your work and what's best for you is smart. Be a no-drama momma, and good things will happen.

Yeah on the 5k. That's fantastic...
Sorry about work... It's hard not to get caught up in the drama, so I hope you can avoid as much as possible.
Enjoy your rest day and you deserve it!

the work situation has got to be hard. Seriously, how do they expect you to do your job without graphics? The entire thing sounds fishy.

Congrats on the PR. Enjoy your rest day.
