Update. Here is my photo test. This is a picture of myself and Meghan who rocked the half! I look like a Giant next to her. I am 5'11" But she is a petit gal....

Use this:

OK offiically the training team is over for the season. I have mixed emotions, I am going to miss it and all the support received each week from the other coaches and runners. I made so many new running friends. BUT I will enjoy sleeping in on Sunday! I had to wake up at 5am every Sunday to walk the dogs then drive to where the training team meets.

Yesterday was the St. Louis Rock n Roll half and full marathon. I got there at 6am to wish the runners good luck and then hung out with Tim (running coach) we watched the start for about 20 minutes (kind of fun to see the beginning of the race)and then walked over to the 2 mile mark and found around 11 runners. Then we set up for the tailgate to get ready for the runners. It was great to have the runners come by to tell their race stories. For some it was their first half and did a walk/run progression plan and completed their first race. Then there were those runners who finished the half in l:40. There was a pace coach that I have become friends with and I think her previous best time was 2:25 and she rocked a 2:17!!!! Another running coach paced her. It was an exciting morning.

I now have my maintenance training plan with smaller races... 5ks. There are no crazy long runs for the next 12 weeks. It is now time for me to take the next step. Seeing Meghan kill a PR like that really has motivated me. Physically I am confident to say I am very strong BUT I really need to focus on weight loss/nutrition during this maintenance time. It is really what I need to do to go to the next step. There is always a big 1/2 marathon in April in St. Louis. I had a big PR last year and I want to get another PR like that again.

So here is my plan. I know what I need to do nutrition wise, I just need to execute. I need to log daily, drink water and stay within the nutrition guidelines I was provided. I think another big issue for me is that I need to slow down my eating. I eat way to fast and then I think to myself...."did I just eat something" So eat in the present will be my focus this week.....savoring every bite!

I do have a question for you. For those to insert pictures throughout your blog.....how do you do that. If I use the upload option it just puts the picture in the corner of the blog. It looks like some of you insert your picture or pictures throughout the blog and they are bigger. I cannot figure out how to do that!

First - love the photo! Second I think that is a great plan for you during the maintenance training plan. I am so jealous about not having to get up early for those long double digit runs! Of course I've got no one to blame but myself. :laugh5:

You will do great!!!

Awesome--you did it! It's a great photo, too. I didn't realize you were so tall. I would LOVE to be 5'10" or 5'11".

Right click on the image -> go to properties -> Select everything under Address (you may have to hold on the mouse button and let it scroll down a little). Then copy it.

I don't think you have the entire link. Sometimes Facebook links can be very long.

If you want to friend me, my name is Elizabeth Eisele Porter. I can look for the picture and the link. Otherwise when you right click, make sure you select the entire link.

I can't see it :( Make sure your link ends with a .jpeg (or .jpg) and there aren't any spaces between anything. You have to have the entire https:\\

Here's a little more detail: Your photo has to be posted online somewhere (Facebook, Picasa, any photo-sharing site). Go to the photo and right-click on it to get the photo's URL. Then paste the URL into your blog entry between two tags: .
