Spontaneous eating

My Beck reading today was "Day 16 No Unplanned Eating." I'm still saying, "but, but, but, I cain't!" Of course, I can. Just shows how helpful it is to read this stuff, think it through, and then go, "Oh, yeah, I guess that would help!"

I'm still not clear on how I'm going to preplan my meals though. For breakfast today, I planned grain, fruit, cheese. I think that's how I'll have to go, with an outline that I plug in what's on hand at eating time. D...

The value of CK

What do we get from CK? Of course, our food database, nutrients and calorie contents of hundreds of foods we don't have to search through volumes for. A diary that adds up all our calories and water and steps and nutrients. Articles and info to educate us as we strive not only for weight loss but to learn how to live healthier lives. There's lots here -- that's why we pay our dues, right?

But the one thing of most value to me is the Community. Friends mirror back to me what I've though...

Keeping up

I haven't properly exercised in the last two weeks. I know I have a few friends who might be aghast to read that, friends who run/exercise/Wii to the max. I really admire those folks, but I also accept that I'm not one of them.

When we went camping weekend before last, I climbed hills to get back to camp from the beach or to get to the easy trail (!!!) (see attached photo of easy trail) and I woke up muscles which may never have been wakened before. So that meant muscles and joints hurt ...
