I just returned to work (ok its for myself, but it still a full time job) after a 2 year hiatis. WOW I am not doing well with taking breaks to eat and adding exercise to my day. We have also had a rash of birthday dinners (tonight is one) so my food choices were smart for what I was offered. On a budget and minimal food in the house has been a challenge. Never the less I am strong and I am making it. Tomorrow is a new day and I will succeed.

Calorie Target and Hypoglycemia

Hi Everyone,

Some of you already know that I am hypoglycemic. For the past little while I have been irritable...I'm not usually so I started to wonder...I also noticed that I am hungry all the time. So I took a look at my caloric intake for the day and uped it by 50 calories. I have been losing weight on the fast side anyways (which I normally do with exercise) so I think this will do the trick.

I will keep you posted on how it goes.......

Experiment number one!

I tried an experiment today, which didn't really work LOL. I just wanted to see what would happen, and if it would "relieve" me any.

So I ate fruit all morning and then other things through the day. My sugar was way up! I knew this would happen, but I wanted to see by how much. Interesting really.

Now my Saturated fat has been up too. Bad choices....bad ones that initially I didn't realize. So I am focusing on that right now.

I may try another experiment ...

Ok, I bought the stuff and didn't realize somehow (???) that it had so much saturated fat! It all started when I wanted pancakes. I have been wanting pancakes for ages! So my boyfriend and I were looking for an acceptable syrup. Got one and WHAM! I got blasted with Sat Fat!!!! The last week has actually been really bad for that. I have, however, learned a lot from this experience. Hmmm....natural foods are best.....obviously....but there are ways to have your "junk" and eat it ...
