August Check-in!

KIRBITA10 - 6:44PM UTC, Aug 10th 2010

I'm a newbie and would love to hear how everyone is doing! I joined in March and was doing great until mid-June when I had to go on a week-long trip for work. Some family drama and a vacation later and I am over 280 lbs. again. I am ready to get going and do what it takes to lose this weight! Also, a quick most of you track your calories using CK throughout the day or do you plan your next day the night before using CK? Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I've been a CK member since April. I've lost 58 pounds so far and 9 inches off my waist. It's still very hard to believe that I finally found the way to get healthy. CK is a Godsend!! My co-workers cannot believe it. I keep singing the praises of CK. I hate that I didn't start sooner. Everything is so much better. I've had to buy a few new pieces for my wardrobe since my clothes were looking so baggy.

I use CK throughout the day. And I occasionally plan out my meals. I usually eat the same snacks every day. And I try to eat every 2-3 hours to keep my metabolism going.

My snacks-
Wasabi and Soy Sauce Almonds (half serving in the morning and half serving in the afternoon)
1.5 oz Prices light pimento cheese with 5 whole wheat Ritz crackers
small banana
small apple
Skinny Cow Caramel Truffle Bars (sinful)

I also try to exercise 100 minutes or more every week. Free weights, kettle bells, leg lifts, stability ball, aerobics

I joined middle of July. Have lost 8.5 lbs so far and have over 100 to go! I am very motivated right now and plan on seeing this through. I have recently realized that I am the only one that can do this. No one can do it for me, or has the power to make me do it. I am concentrating on what it will feel like to be thinner rather than on what I would look like. I just can't visualize what I would look like. But I can sort of feel what it would be like. It would be easier to move, run around and do things. I wouldn't be so hot. I would feel better about myself. I would lessen the risk of diabetes. I would fit in chairs, airplane seats and theater seats. I could go places and do things.

I track my calories at least twice a day. I plan on doing it at 9PM every night, but actually do it during the day at work a lot. I do enter meals ahead of time if I know what I am having, and I usually have about the same lunch every day.
