Hello! Week 4 of our group challenge! If you are new to this this is the way the challenge works:

To start off:
Minutes Goal
Help us work together as a team to meet or exceed our minutes exercise or activity goal. As the minutes are recorded throughout the week I will keep track of the group levels.

KCal Goal
Each individual will tell me what they would like to burn in terms of calories for the week. I keep track of who has recorded & burned as it goes into the group goal.

You can participate in EITHER or BOTH goal challenges - it's up to you!

At the end of the week, I will also post how we as a group did compared to how we planned.

The goal of this challenge is to motivate you to set a goal number of minutes each week and try to attain or even beat that goal.

If you want to participate this week, please let me know:
- Which goals you would like to participate in (minutes / kcal or both)
- What your goals are for the week (how many minutes/calories would you like to burn)

If everyone can add your amounts that you want as a personal goal, I will tally everyone up for our group goal.

Then when you exercise and have a chance, post to this thread! Also, in your post, please tally up your minutes and calories so I have a check figure for my spread sheet. It makes like so much easier to have a check figure. That is the accountant coming out in me! Thanks so much!

The challenge starts each Monday and ends each Sunday at midnight!! Have a fabulous week everyone!

just wanted to tell u guys about a website that someone here told me about in another group. mapmywalk.com!! it's gr8 u can map where u walk anywhere in the u.s. & it will tell you exactly how far u've gone!!! it takes only a minute to figure out & it's free!! u can join but don't need to to track ur course!!! i know i was motivated wen i realized i've been walking a mile on my morning walks & another half mi+ at nite!!! hope u find this of use!! peace 2 u & urz till nxt time!!

Hey Gayle and Florida! I'm going to try 300 min and 2000 cal =)

Monday I completed: 30 min of walking and burned 212

Today: 45 minutes total, 502 calories burned, did 3 minutes of running, 17 minutes of walking, and 30 minutes on an elliptical! So happy that I attempted running today!!!!! <3

Today I walked 30 min on lunch with hubby for a total of 259 cal. Yesterday I did some gardening... 2 hours.... 630 cal
totals:
150 min/889 cal
Yay me! I am getting into the groove of all of this! WE ALL ARE AWESOME!!

i got 40 min yesterday & even that was a struggle!!! lol!!! dam gayle & jessica u guys are amazing!!! u guys get soooo much excersise!!! i can't wait to work myself up to those levels!!! u guys exercise for hours!!! yea 4 u both!!!! u guys r sooo motivating!!! thanks for keeping me going!!! have a beautiful day & best of luk this wk!! peace 2 u & urz till nxt time!!!

lol!!! i used to have pigs & chickens & a goat & rabbits!! lol!!! many yrs ago in another life time!! i got in 30 min of gardening so far 2day but i have p.t. later so that won't b it 4 my day!! peace to u & urz till nxt time!!

Wednesday - 3 hours of walking (180 min) I wanted to die! lol I had to do so much walking for work. Burned 848 calories though!

Thursday - 60 min of walking burned 424 cal

Friday - 60 min of cleaning burned 431

Note to all:
Next week I am going on vacation and will have limited access to a computer. If someone would like to run the challenge - please feel free! Also, I want to thank everyone again for participating and being patient with me as I slowly post totals. My farm is getting very busy with summer quickly approaching and it is getting harder with the season to get everything done. Thanks again.

hi gayle!! hope u have a gr8 vacation!! i wd love to do the challenge however this will b my first wk back to work after 2 months off for surgery & if i didn't get to it i wd feel terrible for letting everyone down! not an excuse just an explanation!! lol!! Jessica ur r a constant inspiration to me with all the exercise u get in!! what type of work do u do?? it must b gr8 incorporating work & physical activity!! i have a desk job basically & wish that i was more mobile at the office!! having been thinking of ways to make that happen rite around my desk without disrupting my coworkers!! lol!! jumping jacks would give all a good laugh!!! lol!! anyway i had to go to an odd event & had to camp out at a convention center literally in line for 3 days!!!! honest!! sounds crazy but it is true!!! so unfortunatly my min. r low this wk, only 240 & i had promised 300!! u gotta do what u gotta do!!! lol!! hope someone (jessica, lol!!) covered my butt!! long w/e so more later!! peace 2 u & urz til nxt time!

Sorry I have been MIA! I'm so swamped with school and work. I have two weeks of school left and then I'm free. I'm starting up with the program as soon as this is over because then I'll have the same routine each day. You guys are amazing and I will stay on the forums. I'm not done yet! I'm still gonna fight this battle.
