Dr. says.........

i went for a cortisone shot in my knee last night:y:


and it was AWESOME.... my headache that i have had for a month is finally gone
i even slept for a WHOLE 7 hours it fantastic!!:rock1::rock1:

now i need a knee replacement i've known for a while but it's at the point the the bone fragments and bone spurs and no cartilage if i do to much damage to my leg bones
it will be difficult for a knee replacement *sigh*

so dr. SAYS, i need to lose 50 pounds by December before he'll do the surgery :$
that means i will need to weight 160.....i weight 168 in 2007 for 1 month and i weighed
162 in 2000........160 is a mental block for me but i have no choice to get there if i want to keep having an active life.....
eye opening..........

on a lighter note i have lost 3 pounds this week:love::love::love:

my friend/coach/pilates instructor among a million other things
she was also a weight waters leader for 10 years
has stepped up and get me to my 50 pounds off
by goal setting and weighing in talking with me... i like that
she's such a good friend i'm glad she's in my life!

last night was great with Chrissy we made 3 statements about why my weight is in the way
and then made 3 positive statements that can change the 3 about my weight

funny i said health and then preceded to tell her how healthy i was?? then i said when i don't want to get un healthy diabetes or heart attack...she said that is future i was worried about
it really doesn't effect my weight because inside its truly not a threat yet

so i picked 3 things daily that get in my way all day
1st was i wear a x large clean room suit at work i'm the only girl this big....i have to put that suit on
10 times a day and every time i am so embarrassed and i beat myself up the whole time
i hate being me in my clean room suit

the 2nd is that i'm frumpy i wear close that i can find that fit rather than what i think is cute
their not my style but they fit...

3rd is i don't participate in life because i have nothing to wear, or im embarrassed about my weight. im so uncomfortable at dinner if i'm in a booth at 4'11' and fat getting food to my mouth is sometimes a task so i just don't go.

so i wrote down 3 positive statements on post its so i can read it over and over 100 times a day and i'm going to bring home a medium clean room suit and try it on every day till it fits

that what i got!
it did make me feel better.. i feel like i have a plan now

Sounds like a great plan, Sydney. Kudos to you for enlisting such a supportive friend.
Weight watchers is a good program; one of the few that has been proven to actually get results. So working with a WW leader is a terrific idea.

The trying on a lesser-sized clean room suit will be fun too. I did something similar - I had "used to fit me" clothes hanging around the house. As I lost weight, I'd try them on. Eventually they just went back into my regular wardrobe. Great motivator!

The three things of each that you addressed remind me of the Motivational tool here at CK. I think I need to review mine :cool6:
