Hi everyone, I just made a post this morning in the 100+ forum and decided to join this group.

I am currently 268 pounds, 31 year old female, 5'6". My heaviest ever was probably over 300 pounds, but my highest recorded weight was 293.6 when I joined Weight Watchers in March of 2005. I've been down to 209 but haven't seen onederland in 18 years.

I'm definitely a food addict, in every sense of the word! It's me vs. my brain on an hourly basis.

Happy to meet y'all!

-Jordan

Welcome Jordan! Nice to meet you.
I have the food addict thing going on too... one day at a time, one day at a time.

Who, Me? Well, yeah, okay. Thanks. I'm having some trouble with it, actually. Yes, I have dropped a lot. 140-150ish in the last two years.

But... the problem is I'm not feeling very successful, because I'm stuck. I weigh the same now as I did this time last year. And I'm still 60+ pounds overweight. Still fat. *sigh* And I'm having some kind of psychological block about getting back on track and getting the rest off.

So I'm still in the trenches with everybody, fighting for myself. We'll get it, I know we will.

Hi jordan! Nice to meet you! Congratulations on your loss so far, going from over 300 down to 268 is pretty darn awesome!

I'm right there with you on me v brain. In fact, i just posted the exact same thought. I'm sure there is a way to use this whole brain thing to our advantage, our brains can throw obstacles at us, but also give us the motivation to succeed. I'm still working on the "how". :)

LOVE the worlds biggest badminton birdie. LOL

Toni--I missed your post! I guess I thought I was checking in on this group's posts but wasn't!
I know how frustrating it is to be *stuck*. I've been about at the same place for two years now, trying on and off to lose weight. The good news is, I am an old pro at maintaining weight loss now--- silver lining, right? Anyway, being at the same weight as you were last year is a big accomplishment. If you had put weight back on, you'd be kicking yourself and wishing you were right where you are now. I understand your frustration because I've been there. I've lived there. I set up a cot and put a lamp in the corner. But from an outsider's perspective, you are awesome and not gaining any weight in a year is absolutely not within my definition of "falling off the wagon."

Hi Itazurah! Thanks! That is actually kind of a tourist attraction here in Kansas City. There are four giant shuttlecocks outside of our big art museum (which is a pretty cool art museum). There is something about this city that I just love love love -- so I figure a picture with a KC icon would be perfect. My husband and I took that picture just weeks after moving here. Anyway---congrats on your loss so far! 16 pounds--awesome!

hi, Great work on your current weight loss. I have tried so many diets and none of them worked! My diabetese educator reccomended CK for me, so far so good. I myself have been in your shoes with being stuck, and it just STINKS :bang:. A friend of mine suggested that I either up or down my calorie intake but a few points and see if that doesnt kind of shock your system back to where you want it. I am dreading that spot. I am trying to think of changing my eating habits, not being on a diet. It is amazing the way your brain makes you do things you know you dont want to do. Keep up the GREAT work and hope to hear more from you soon.
