I have a drawer dedicated to pants.
Mostly jeans but some other pants too. Most of them I cannot wear but this weekend I retired my size 18 jeans! They slipped down for the last time so I can wear them no longer!
Since losing some weight I am now back into my size 16 jeans, WOO HOO!
The question became, what am I going to do with these size 18 pants? I took a photo of myself with the biggest pair of jeans and hubby said "you need to keep that, when you lose the weight (and I know you will) you'll want to see how far you've come". My argument was, what if I put weight on again and because I have them I can grow into them. He said "not gonna happen." Awww so supportive.
Then I took a long, hard look at my pants drawer. It's FULL! I lay the size 18s I'm keeping on the floor. Then I started pulling jeans and pants out one by one and lining them up. Size 16s... size 14s... size 12s.... size 10s and finally size 8s. All in a row. It made me think "wow, this is my adult life right here." I was also thinking "wow, I remember when those size 12s seemed so big, but not they look tiny. But mostly I was thinking "YAY, I will NEVER wear those size 18s again and soon... SOON I'll be into those 14s again and working my way down the line.... slowly, yes, but it WILL happen.
Does anyone else have multiple sizes tucked away? Do you have a "goal" outfit or piece of clothing?
Would you keep the size 18s, so someday you can do that thing like the Subway guy when he holds up his pants or would you get rid of them?
