Hi, my name is Jackie and I'm a 33yo SAHW and mom of a 13yo boy & a 10yo girl. I have OVER 150 pounds to lose ~ that's right, I need to lose a whole person. If feel like somewhere along the way I must have eaten myself... I'm in there somewhere and now I'm working how to free myself. I'm tracking everything and exercising a minimum of 5 days a week for 30-60 minutes. My goal is 10,000 steps a day and to eat at least 5 fruits/veggies everyday. I'm looking for a buddy who can join me for my looong road ahead!

Hi Saria! Thank you for your reply. I don't get up early either... I prefer to do my workout before dinner or an hour after. I started off with 20 minutes, after a week or two I was able to move up to 30 minutes. I just slowly tried to do a little more, and now I can exercise for an hour (of course, I'm exhausted afterwards). I usually do about 30 minutes every day and twice a week (T/Th) I will do an hour. I'm hoping to switch it to three times a week (M/W/F) soon, but I'm just not there yet.

Are you able to set-aside a couple of days a week you can exercise? You can try to start at 2 days a week and then slowly add an extra day when you feel you are ready.

Still haven't gotten up to go. I have however taken some time to go for some hour long walks...especially on the weekends!

My problem with the exercising at night for me is that I like to be social after work...which I know is such a LAME excuse...because I know everyone who reads this will be like well priorities Saricutie! Which is totally true. I just don't want to disrupt my normal routine that much.

So...the deal is the most ideal time for me to work out is going to be in the mornings..nice a early before work. So.....that means I am going to have to just make some commitment and go. I think a big part of it is that I haven't been there in so long. My plan is to go there this weekend so that I can be well rested for my first experience back in action....then from then on I am planning to start slow and go for a few days a week and then increase it slowly.

It is amazing that with even the walking how good it made my body feel... :)

It is best to work out in the evening when your metabolism slows down. Don't interrupt your normal routine but take breaks for instance if you and your friends go out get up and get the drinks for everybody and then ask them to take a walk with you afterward. It can be fun to walk with a crowd of friends after work. ;)
