There's a place in town that has awesome breakfast burritos. I'm embarassed to say that I used to go every Saturday and eat three of them in one sitting. Today, I only ate one. It's still alot of calories for breakfast, but it's a drastic improvement.

Toni- Great job on making it to the gym. It had to have been extra tough with your cold.

Dee- You showed alot of restraint not getting the fried fish. When I go to a restaurant, I tend to check all of my will power at the door.

Elizabeth - I think you can speak without fear here of your three-burrito habit. None of us would be here if we didn't all do similar things. Cutting back to one is a 2/3 reduction in your calorie intake. Huge difference!

Today I got up first thing and went to the gym and did my regular routine.

Today I...
went grocery shopping. I've been going once a week since starting CK. This might seem normal to most people, but I used to go months without stepping foot into a grocery store. All of my meals came from a gas station or fast food joint. I'm still not cooking as often as I should, but I'm doing okay for now. I've gone from never touching produce, to eating about 5-6 daily servings. Actually, this thread saved me money. I rechecked my grocery receipt and saw that they charged me for 21 bunches of kale. I knew something was off, but couldn't figure it out at first.

Today ...all day... I resisted the urge to go out and buy junk. Including the M&M Sonic blast which I've been craving all day.

Instead, I am currently sipping a homemade smoothie: an entire apple, half an orange, some frozen strawberries and plain yogurt. All ground up with my monster blender, and I'm *still* under my calories for the day. Take that binges!

You go, Toni! Good job. Those frozen treats are really tempting this time of year in AZ. I've been putting 2 oz of spinach in my smoothies. You can't even taste it with the fruit.

Elizabeth, Good for you. You're really doing great eating all that fresh produce.

Toni, Same for you - home made smoothies are so good. I will sometimes throw some fresh frozen fruit in the Vita Mix with some non-fat plain yogurt. I can make it the consistency of soft-serve or of a smoothie.

And adding spinach is a good idea. We have the book,' Deceptively Delicious' and it has a bunch of great ideas like that. In fact one day when all the kids were home for a meal, DD made some spaghetti and she took a bag of frozen vegetables and put them in the blender, then added them to the sauce. My oldest son didn't know she had done that, but said it was the best sauce he'd ever tasted.

Sydney, great planning. I need to do more of the planning and prepping thing myself.

So far today, I've put extra effort into my morning water exercises, logged all my food, posted my PAW wt. (even though it was 2.4 lbs heavier than yesterday from too much salt) and kept a positive attitude.

Oh my! I started this thread and I'M the one having a hard time coming up with something I did right! LOL, Well, I'm going to consider this motivation to do better, AND making myself think really hard and come up with a positive should help me realize that I wasn't a total failure and motivate me to keep going.

So, yesterday I .....

... made myself wait till lunch time to eat lunch even though I was starved - because I knew we were eating lunch out (don't do that often).
... only ate half my steak and half my potato AND ordered the 'Health Nut salad' when we went to Logans last night (DD was with us and Logan's has a great Mon-Thurs $7.99 dinner selection)
... ordered DoleWhip instead of regular ice cream when DD and I stopped at the ice cream stand that just opened for the season.

Whew! Today will be a better day - calorie-wise for sure!

(Yesterday)... when I got home from work, I put some brown rice to cook in the steamer, then I got straight on my bike. Did a fast loop around the park's bike path, then when I got home I had stir-fry veggies over the rice.

The rest of the day was not so good, but Dee is right; it's good for us to focus on the positives.

Yesterday, I...

- was more active at work, taking more trips to/from different areas of the building
- logged all my food
- stayed more active at home when I first got home, not letting myself sit as much

The rest of the evening was a bust, as I self sabotaged myself, but today is a new day. I think I'd like to work on a mantra, or some kind of sign (or something) - that I can refer to in the evenings when I'm weaker and wanting to sabotage myself.

pilates is all refined =small movements that all start within your core
you have to concentrate really hard to say move your arm up and around
(laying on a rolling table and cables for your hands) as you move
your try and keep the rest of your body still no moving your legs

when you do leg stuff, your spine and butt must always be flat on the table
try laying down on the floor putting your legs straight up in the air
and them slowly lower them to right be for they touch the ground...
i can do the 1st one..by the 3 one im struggling and moving super slow to keep my butt down flat
it's great for pulling in the tummy or in my case my gut!

but its fun!

LOL, yesterday I honestly could not think of even ONE thing I'd done right. :blush4::bang:

Today, we drove 45 minutes to meet DIL half way and pick up the grandsons. We stopped at a buffet for dinner before returning home. I had a salad, then one slice of meatloaf, and then headed up for dessert.... but looked at the salad and decided that it tasted so good that I'd rather have more salad than dessert. =D

I also cleaned like a mad woman this morning and now my feet and ankles are not happy with me :rolling1:

well, it's not been my best day. :-(

I remembered to take my vitamins!
And at least I've been eating stuff from the freezer and pantry, instead of going out to buy something new and/or breaking down and getting fast food.

Uhm... yesterday wasn't my day either. Grandsons were still here and their parents came up to get them... so of course, that called for a cookout. About the 'goodest' lol thing I did yesterday was I stayed active playing with the kids.

So far today, I'm doing okay. And at lunch, DH made egg salad (we seem to have more than enough boiled eggs right now, lol) and in my opinion, he used to much mayo. SO, I peeled another egg, cut it up, and added just a tiny bit of the egg salad he made.

And so far, I've logged every bite.

Yesterday I went to the gym, first thing.

Today I'm trying a new kind of multi-grain cereal for breakfast. One I've had around the house for a while but never actually used. I think one of the reasons I binge is boredom. I get tired of eating the same thing over and over again. So trying new things is important... although they don't do me any good if they're just sitting in the pantry.

Oh, speaking of trying new things, we did that too. I picked up a recipe at the health club and decided to try it for 'dessert' yesterday. It was so simple and so yummy.

-- I took fresh pineapple, fresh strawberries, and bananas, -cut them up and put them on skewers. Then took one tablespoon honey mixed with 3 tablespoons lime juice, and brushed it on the fruit while grililng them on the grill. The recipe called for 2 minutes on each side, but I think DH said they didn't take that long. Anyway, they were so good and everyone liked them. It was a nice change from a plain ole fruit salad.
