Hi there,
My friend and I both started Belly Fat Cure this week. Would love to share ideas, recipes etc.

Heather,

I was in the BFC group that started October 18, and went for 13 weeks. To date, I have lost 20 pounds. It was s-l-o-w losing, averaging 1 pound a week, after the initial week of losing water weight. I saw no 4 - 9 pound loss and only a handful saw that. (less than 20 out of 1000) There were MANY complaints of false advertising on the community blog which is no longer up and running. Some of the negative comments are on Amazon.com where you can purchase his book, BFC, which I do own. I suggest you buy that $10 book, as it will cut down on the amount of printing from your computer which you will have to do. He spoon-fed us the book (it wasn't published in October) 20 pages at a time! I spent way more on ink and paper over 13 weeks!:rolling1:

I found that with 15 grams of sugar a day, I was losing nothing for 4 straight weeks. Once I cut that down to 7, the one pound a week loss worked. I am still following the plan, and losing 1 pound every two weeks. I started at 143, and am 123 today, my weight on my original driver's license!:y:

Calorie King was what motivated me to stay on BFC. My average calorie intake was @ 900 calories a day, yet I never feel starved! Once I hit 6 carb servings, I eat nothing else the rest of the day--those 6 carbs come fast, so I try to eat 6 small meals a day (I am a grazer being single) with 1 carb serving per meal. Use CK daily to keep yourself in check with the sugar and carbs. My 6 carbs rarely went over 100. :wink2:

After a few weeks you will have to tweak the program for yourself, if you stop losing. That's the key. What works for one, does not work for another.:bang:

I will be glad to answer any questions, since I have "walked the walk". By the way, I gave up by 5 mile a day on my treadmill the day I started the program. My knees have thanked me!

Great hearing from another BFC person. I assume you are starting Jorge's new program for those over 40. I'm 58 and have tried every diet out there. Just like the tortoise and the hare, slow and steady wins the race. Once you realize that 4 - 9 pounds per week is not realistic, not true, you can focus better. I think it is Jorge's way to get your attention, and it DID get mine.:afraid4:

So sorry I went so long. Look forward to your next email.:tongue8:

Andrea

P.S. I'm a HUGE beatles fan, hence, REVOLVER (the album)
