Hello all,

It is nice to find great people who love the Lord here. I started CK in May with a bang and within 3 weeks started fisseling. I was very diligent recording my calories and I had started exercising with DVDs but life happens, I have 2 jobs and it got hard to stay on top of recording my calories, (or at least that is my excuse). Also, I didn't participate in the community options at all. Now I weigh 5 more pounds than when I started in May, (I just got back from an all-inclusive resort and ate desert for lunch and dinner)!

I think I really need to get to know some of you so you can help me be accountable and I can encourage you. Also, I have to get really serious about what I put in my mouth. My back goes out when I weigh too much and I have grown out of most of my clothes and I don't want to buy larger clothes!

So, please help! Thanks!!

Hang in there. Pick one thing to change now and then try to stick to it. Then, make one more change, etc. etc. Try not to look at pounds lost, right now. Don't look at pounds lost as success or failure. Look to the changes you are making for your success. Don't give up! If something doesn't work right now, try something else. Most of all record all your food and exercise as accurately as you can. You can use this to find out where you are not losing weight. And, if you are struggling, you can go back to a successful week and copy that week again. I have found the book Love to Eat Hate to Eat by Elyse Fitzpatrick very helpful.

Hi Dawn2lose! I am starting tomorrow! I just signed up tonight, and have had quite a terrible time the past two weeks with curbing my "input".

There is quite a long history of weight gains and losses for me with my most recent being a 6 week excelling period losing 12 pounds and then gain about 10 these past two weeks!

I decided I needed some accountability as well, and I am thrilled to find Christian ladies on here! This was the most affordable option on-line.

Anyway, I would love to stay in touch and encourage each other. I am also going to pick up a book tomorrow between services called... The Weigh Down Diet. I'll let you know if it's helpful at all!

My weigh in days are set for Monday's so I will be sure to check in then.

I'm struggling right now too, but the key seems to be to not give up. As long as we're tyring, we're doing better than if we weren't.
