It's a Phillipians kind of morning for me.
Phil. 3:13-14 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Phil. 4:8-9 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me-put into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Today is my sister's fiftieth birthday....she wants her cake here....praying somehow ths will be special.
Today went well. Several of my very fragrant pink roses burst into bloom and budded giving me a beautiful birthday party bouquet, pink roses were my mom's favorite, and pink is my sister's favorite color...so, they were a very nice touch.
My dad pulled me aside to let me know that he never hears his wife ever say anything negative about us anymore, and that she isn't rejecting us, she just isn't wanting to be around anyone, except for him, her daughter and her husband.
If we are interested he would like to have the kids and I over to pick tomatos....he supplies me with many tomatos each year......he had planned to do this when she had shut everyone out a few years ago, but he didn't follow through with it. He expects hs wife to leave the house if he has us over.....my concern is that the kids are older now, and they most likely will go...but they are older.
Thank you for all of the kind words...I will probably keep rereading Erika's post. Thank you and God bless.
P.s. doing great at logging, but lagging in exercise....tomorrow will need to be a fresh start with exercise.
