**Good morning sisters

another day and the sun is shining! Thank You Father

Steph: yes! First treatment done! any big plans for the weekend?

Erika: glad you're back:heart1: how did that appointment go? How's your mom?

Verse for today:
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD."Joshua 24:15

definitely one of my fav verses...not only about serving God, but about everything. we really DO have to choose in life. Our choices will certainly affect our lives...

today I am choosing:
to eat mindfully
to take things in stride
to walk

have a great one sisters!****************

Yes, we do have to choose to serve the Lord and not our selfish desires. Our sinful nature constantly pulls at us, and only by His grace may we keep choosing daily to take up our cross and follow him.
Having friends like ya'll helps me to focus on what actually matters each day.

Steph- first hair treatment! YEAH!!!!! How was it? Are you happy? How many visits? I forget.

Kris- Having good vaca days???? Are you and DD going to still be able to get away some with her new job???

-the appointment....well it went, he refused to listen, as always, its like talking to a wall. frustrating.
gonna move on....I can't dwell on it.
I know He has a plan for me...I can't imagine why this phase of life, but I know He is always still in control.

Hello ~:hi: I've just started CK on Sunday evening, can I join in? I'm a bit shy, ;) but look forward to reading and sharing with you Thank you for sharing a verse a day.

I have been married for 36 years and have 1 child. I work very PT as a support person for adults with disabilities.

So far my first week has went well, started officially on Monday am, down -4 hoping to get to Silver soon... :thumbu2:

I had joined WW in 5/11 and lost 45lbs. I stopped in 9/11 when my Dmom was diagnosed with cancer. She died 2/12. I kept off most the weight, until the Holidays, slowly started gaining....now I've gained back 1/2 of what I lost. Most that that due to lack of Activity, in conjunction with not tracking what I ate. WW did help me to learn to eat better, and I still had my membership. But, I found this site and decided to try it, and I really like it, and it's less expensive.

I'd love to hear, if you would share, your experience with CK, when did you join and how it's working for you... Thanks in advance

MCOZY--welcome. we would love to have you!!!

My name is Erika, I am married, 3 kids (11,9,7) and am a RN...with a back injury so out of work...

Calorie King is great. I lost 60 some pounds last time I was on CK, (a few years back)... the accountability in groups I have found here were a HUGE part of my plan, and logging helped a lot... I got to the fittest and healthiest of my life during that time...
then I left CK, thought I had lost it all I and I was good....
went through a few years of health issues on and off and here I have joined again in these last months.
I am again finding that logging and the accountability is really helping me. My motivation is so much higher with this. I plan to stay on CK from here on out! I will eventually loose it again (this time with the back injury and not having a huge exercise component my food matters so much more and it will take longer, but I will get there)...and once there I will never leave again..
accountability for maintenance is just as important I think.

Erika
