Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 57 and trying to get serious about being more fit. I was running about 3 years ago and sustained a stress fracture in my left foot. It wasn't diagnosed for over a year during which time I developed a hip problem as I was compensating for the foot pain. After finally getting diagnosed and going through physical therapy for my hip, I started running again and within 2 weeks had a stress fracture in my right foot!! (For those of you who are wondering, yes, I had a bone density test and I'm okay.) I'm healed up now and back to the gym several times a week with a pretty varied workout of both aerobics and weight training. Tonight I'm doing a yoga class and then a zumba class (my first, but I hear it's really fun). I have close to 20 lbs. to lose, but I'm feeling really motivated right now. It helps that my husband is doing the same. I look forward to participating in some community support. Nice to meet you all!!:wave1::wave1:

Hi LYNT, I just joined this group today. I look forward to conversing with everyone. It is very frustrating that things we could do when we were younger, now may result in injury such as your stress fractures. Take care of yourself as you meet your goals.
