Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 57 and trying to get serious about being more fit. I was running about 3 years ago and sustained a stress fracture in my left foot. It wasn't diagnosed for over a year during which time I developed a hip problem as I was compensating for the foot pain. After finally getting diagnosed and going through physical therapy for my hip, I started running again and within 2 weeks had a stress fracture in my right foot!! (For those of you who are wondering, yes, I had a bone density test and I'm okay.) I'm healed up now and back to the gym several times a week with a pretty varied workout of both aerobics and weight training. Tonight I'm doing a yoga class and then a zumba class (my first, but I hear it's really fun). I have close to 20 lbs. to lose, but I'm feeling really motivated right now. It helps that my husband is doing the same. I look forward to participating in some community support. Nice to meet you all!!
