My husbnad just joined CK. He told me his calorie allotment is 1700. Wow, 1700! I was jeoulous. But then he realized his profile had him as female by mistake and when he changed it to male, his calorie allottment went up to 2000.

OK, that's fine. He's 5'10 or 5'11" and has a bit to lose, but the thing is he's ing about how "deprived" he feels. If I could eat 2000 calories a day and LOSE weight, I would know I had died and gone to heaven.

As a 67 year-old commuting cubicle warrier my BMR is so low that I am working with the minimum level of 1210 myself. One misstep turns into a bad day.
