New, new, newbie here - sacheting in to say "HI" in hopes of finding some CK support.

I humbly admit that I just signed up in March - to find that I apparently signed up last March and just wasn't ready I guess. :bang:

I'm ready now! This first week - I'm just logging my food intake (good or bad) to get a feel for what it is I'm doing during these days of high stress eating. YIKES!

Good morning Sophiebug! Glad to see someone posting here. Lost 13 lbs? Good for you! Great start! I know CK will aid you in wonderful ways. I am still fighting the journal. Doing it but it's so difficult. I know it must be done though!! Sophie, good luck to you in your journey! Have a great day!

Hi there! I'm a newbie, too. Just started and am also looking to make some good contacts here. I started CK just 4 days ago, but had started on my own on March 1st. On my own I had lost 13 lbs in that 2 month period, but know I can be much more careful and accurate with CK.

I'm 57 y/o, a diabetic and somewhat limited in my workouts, but I joined 24 hour fitness and have been getting GREAT help and encouragement there also. Right now I can work my circuit there in about 40 minutes, and I am beginning to feel stronger physically, and emotionally as well.

If you'd like, we could touch base with ea other and help us stay motivated and enthused. I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Hi Lynn -- Yes, right frame of mind is definitely key! And with that I am stepping out by doing the things I fought most --- ie, setting tiny goals and journaling. These two things I most hate. Both are very new to me, however, it can't be all bad. What I was doing before wasn't working.... maybe new tricks will be key!! Good luck to you, Lynn. :)

It's hard to start. I've been here over 4 years and feel I'm just now hitting my stride. I really do think one has to be in the right frame of mind to make this all work.

Logging is very important as is exercise. I think in the beginning it's all good just getting it down and starting with a small amount of exercise. I live in a place where I don't have a car and have to walk everywhere. Prior to being here though, I lived in a place where if you didn't have a car you couldn't get anything done. When I first came here, I couldn't even walk around the block and now I do it several times a day for my exercise.

It's all a matter of perspective and that's why I say you have to be in the right frame of mind. Here's wishing you all the luck in the world. I'll stop by and visit every once in a while.

Hi there! I'm ready to also take this seriously. I'm back after being away for awhile. Or should I say I've been hiding! Enough is enough I say! Like you, Jeannie, I am rounding a year on the sign up and am right around the same weight. Come on!! That's unbelievable! I'm going to log, log, and log again. Good bad or ugly I'm going to do it. I am also going to attempt to journal. That's a scary thought but I am blocking myself from this thin person screaming to get out and don't know why. So maybe together we can all three get something started!!!

Hi! I just signed up today. I'm working my way around the site trying to take it all in! I've never been a person that looked for support groups. Maybe that's where I have been going wrong all of these years. Looking forward to connecting with others.
