new to CK

TERRIW5 - 11:42AM PST, Nov 10th 2009

I joined CK yesterday.I'm in my 50's and gained about 30lbs over the past 6 years.2 years ago I lost around 13 to 15 lbs.with weight watchers. But since then the scale pretty much stayed the same.I finally grew tired ofWW and points and not losing weight.I tried some other on line programs, but did'nt find the right fit.one of the reasons I joined CK is that the web site is easy to learn, has alot of good info without being overwhelming.I'm hoping to lose around 18lbs. and find support from others like me(50 ish) along the way.:)

Good luck Terri! I think a lot of us have similar wieght loss goals. I've found the CalorieKing program easy to use. Unfortunately losing weight can be a longer process than gaining it, but with perseverance I'm sure success will come.

Hi Susan,It's good to know that there are others with similar goals and struggles.I lost 2.5 lbs in this past week and now I'm motivated to do as well, maybe better this week.

Hey Terri...

Welcome to CK... I have tried many different weight loss "programs" over the years, but CK is the best for me. I love the flexibility and being able to eat whatever I chose to eat == with focus on calories and burning calories. I have been a member for three years, but have just been maintaining the last year. Now I'm ready to get the scale moving down again.

Best wishes, and I look forward to sharing the journey with you and the others in this group.

Suz
