And how was your week?

Long week here.
Been dealing with really bad back issues.
BUT, I still managed to walk twice a day/20 minutes per time, two days this week of aquatic PT: Water exercises 45 minutes at a time.
My food is okay, rocky at times but I am learning to concentrate more on what I am eating and less on surrounding distractions.
AND, after my weigh in today (WLS: Gastric Band) I am actually down 3 pounds.

Long week, nice results though!

Sorry I had not replied... I had not been on the boards in awhile.... What kind of back issues? I am proud of you that you actually still walked on top of your problems. I had been walking and I injured my foot and put my routine on hold. But I am going to start back up tomorrow.

I was trying to get in touch with the person who started our Groups forum to see if she can create us a picture but she apparently has not been on since day 1 either.

I am thinking I might email CK support because, I feel like we need to haev a WLS picture dont you?

Hey all,

Sandgee, sorry to hear your back's acting up. Have you gone in for any massage or chiro? It may help (or at least it will feel good, which is always nice). Hang in there!

Tochatty1, good idea on the forum picture. I'm still learning how to get around and find forums here and I noticed this forum isn't listed on the main page at all. I wonder if we could get it added somehow (or CK needs to find a better way of organizing forums).

My week has been pretty great so far, actually. I went in for my 1 month post-op yesterday (the 1 month is technically tomorrow but I'll count it for now). I LOVE the PA I'm working with! She's really funny and youthful and I leave with a big smile on my face. So far, I'm down about 24 lbs (19 lbs from the fasting phase, about 5 lbs for the other 3 weeks). Not bad! Since I have the new band, which includes a fill at the time of surgery, and since I'm still eating less than 1 cup per meal and I'm losing at a good rate, no fill was necessary yet. I've been getting hungry between meals but haven't reacted to any foods, so she said I could skip right over the mashed phase and start solids. OH JOY!!!! I had a nice serving of juicy chicken breast and mixed veggies and savored every bite! I pushed the portion just a tad but stopped before I really felt uncomfortable. It will be interesting to see what happens with my rate of loss now. I'm definitely feeling a lot more sated after meals, which is a big relief.

Good stuff is starting to happen for me with the loss too. I'm smiling a lot more, have a little spring in my step (as much as my fasciitis will allow), and my clothes are getting baggier. My seat belt buckle no longer jabs my hip in the car either.

I've set a goal for myself to get down to 250 by my birthday October 21st (that would be 12 lbs in 5 weeks - a little ambitious, but I should at least get close!). It will be the first time I've been in that weight range in at least 5 years (probably closer to 8 or 9). A girl can hope! The past few years, I've always stalled out in the low 260's, so I'll feel a LOT better once I get back down into the 250s again.

I start belly dance classes again this week (had taken the summer off), so it will be nice to get that middle wiggling again!

Have a great week, everyone!
