I had laporascopic Roux-En-Y gastric bypass surgery on Jan. 23, 2007. I love the results so far, I have lost 65 pounds and numerous health problems. My concern is recent bowel problems. Has anyone else experienced these? I plan on asking my doctor when I see him on Nov. 14th but it's always good to hear from others that have gone through this. Lately it hurts like the dickens to have a bowel movement and sometimes there's blood. I've had a colonoscopy and they say I have diverticula which I am still learning about. Anyone else with similar problems?

Are you drinking enough liquid every day?
I notice when I don't, I have very solid bowel movements that aren't daily and if it's been several days, I might bleed a little, but not internally.
