donna, i'm in the same boat as you. i used to have one or two glasses every night, over dinner with my fiancee. just cutting back to twice a week (wednesday after weigh-in and saturday are usually my "wine" nights, and even then i only get 2 glasses, or one large one). made a huge difference for me! i initially lost ten pounds on this plan- back in june - then got back in the habit and put the weight back on! so i'm starting again from square 1- with wine only saturdays this time until i get back to where i was.
funny enough, it used to be that when i dieted, i wouldn't count the calories in wine. i thought if i behaved with everything else, it wouldn't matter if i had a couple of glasses a night . wroooong!
well, it's all about learning, isn't it? knowledge is power. i count wine now!
why does everything good have to have calories? i'd much rather go without chocolate than pinot noir!!!
