I have clinical major depressive disorder for which I see a psychiatrist and am treated with appropriate medications. I love to exercise, especially running. However, I've been unemployed for 3 years and my escape is sleep. I eat well, but not enough which puts my body in starvation mode. I gained 30lbs when I first lost my job, and lost 15lbs using a commercial program. I kept losing due to a consultation with a nutritionist and a prescribed exercise program. In October I weighed 147. Today I weigh 165. My usual range is from 128-133 where I and most of my female relatives remain.
I need someone out there who knows what I go through trying to handle stress without adverse affects (weight gain) to my body.
