What are your weight-control goals?
I wanted to be thin again like I used to be. I wanted to eat healthier and live a more active lifestyle.
What is your motivation for losing weight?
I had tried so many ways to lose weight such as Atkins, the South Beach diet, Curves, every diet pill and so much more. Then I realized that I had to do it myself and the right way. I was tired of being unable to do things I used to be able to do and being unhappy with myself.
What is your weight-loss method?
*I count my calories
* I exercise. I started with a small amount of exercise and have increased it to 1 to 3 hours a day, 6 days per week.
* I watch what I eat. I try not to eat much processed food.
*I stopped eating fast food, which I used to eat a lot of. Now I eat it every once in a blue moon.
*I cook my meals at home to make sure I eat healthily.
What obstacles have you encountered while losing weight?
I have had depression for a long time which has made it very hard for me to lose weight. It's affected my motivation and at times I've found it hard to stick with eating healthy or exercising, but no matter what I always keep pushing through.
What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?
Remember nobody is perfect so if one day you mess up, just learn from it and continue on the next day as normal.

No matter how hard it gets never give up. We all know how long it took us to gain the weight, so it makes sense that it also doesn’t come off as fast as we all would hope for.

Everyone struggles at some point but NEVER GIVE UP and you will succeed.
How do you feel now that you're achieving success?
I feel so much better! My self confidence is back, I feel better both physically and mentally. I exercise so much more than I use to, doing things I never thought I would do.

I eat healthier and instead of watching TV I think, 'Why not exercise and watch TV?' as at least I am being active at the same time. My life is better all around.
