What are your weight-control goals?
My goal is to get my weight to a healthy and maintainable level.
What is your motivation for losing weight?
I had a triple bypass in April. My doctor said I was lucky because I had no heart damage. I have been overweight all my life and have a high-stress job. Those things usually end badly for people like me. I got a second chance. I intend to make the most of this gift.
What is your weight-loss method?
I had to do a complete overhaul of my diet. I work for a fast-food chain and had to stop eating at my restaurants. I had to start cooking and stop eating out. I had to read labels and pay attention to what they said. I had to cut down on portions and remove unhealthy items from my house. I had to exercise.
What obstacles have you encountered while losing weight?
I work in the restaurant industry. It is like being a brewmaster and an alcoholic. I also eat when I an stressed and I am stressed all the time. I have more than a few physical limitations, so exercise was a challenge at first. I have overcome most of these obstacles.
What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?

  • Exercise on a regular basis
  • Don't get discouraged

I feel great!
