What were your weight-control goals?
I wanted to get to 200 lbs. I'm at 220 now and believe I can get to 180. The weight loss has levelled off for now mostly because of the holidays. Gotta love those Thanksgiving/Christmas dinners.
What motivated you to lose weight?
Irregular heartbeats, shortness of breath, mortality.
What was your weight-loss method?
Low fat. Some agree, some disagree. For me it worked well. Any program will be what you make of it.
What were some obstacles you encountered while losing weight?
Mostly me. Once I dedicated myself, everything fell into place. Family, job, temptations are mostly excuses to justify failure. If you want it bad enough you will succeed.
What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?
Never quit. Never give up. Let nothing stop you. Not your family, your job, friends, anything. Educate yourself. Whatever program you decide upon, the more you know the more likely you are to reach your goal. Do not go hungry. Do not eat what you don't like. Log everything you eat and types of exercises.
How do you feel now that you've lost weight?
Like I may live to be an old man.
