These Bagel Chips are a nice alternative to traditional Home-Cooked Potato Chips. The makeover bagel recipe adds herbs for extra flavor, and reduces the amount of oil and salt.

3 large potatoes (russet or white), peeled and very thinly sliced 1 Tbsp salt 1 quart oil for deep frying |
Heat the oil in a skillet and add the garlic and mixed herbs. Cook for 1 minute.
Add the bagel pieces in batches, turning them for about 3 to 5 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
Drain the bagel chips on absorbent paper towels.
Serve in a warm serving dish, seasoned with salt and pepper and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese.
Can serve as an accompaniment to your favorite dip.
