  • 4 medium pears (approx. 6.3 oz each)
  • 14 oz low-fat plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (4 Tbsp)
  • 16 ice cubes
  • 10 1/2 oz cherries, pitted (fresh or frozen)

Directions:

Peel, core and roughly chop the pears. In a blender, place pears, yogurt, lemon juice, and ice cubes. Blend until smooth. Add the pitted cherries and blend again until smooth.

Pour into 5 chilled glasses and serve immediately.

Variations:

For a sweeter smoothie, replace the plain yogurt with an equal amount of low-fat berry yogurt.
