Sweet tea with spice and milk - fit for a celebration!

Ingredients:

2 cup water

1/4 tsp ground cardamom

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp ground ginger

4 - 6 whole cloves

3 Earl Grey tea bags (or 2 Tbsp loose black tea)

2 cup low-fat milk (2%)

4 Tbsp Equal® Spoonful (or 6 packets Equal® sweetener) *

4 dashes nutmeg (optional)

Directions:

Place water in a saucepan, add cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and cloves and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to a simmer for 10 to 12 minutes.

Remove from heat, add tea and let sit for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and pour through liquid strainer (if using loose tea, sift the entire spiced beverage through liquid strainer).

Add milk and return to heat but do not bring to a boil. Stir in Equal and serve in cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg if desired.

Variations:

* If desired, replace the Equal® with an equivalent amount or less of sugar, to taste.
