This turkey kielbasa recipe lowers the calories, fat, cholesterol and sodium by replacing regular kielbasa with turkey kielbasa and eliminating the beef broth. Replacing regular potatoes with sweet potatoes and apples, this makeover perks up an old favorite.

In a large deep skillet over high heat, combine beer, mustard and caraway seeds. Bring to boil. Add cabbage, reduce heat to medium-low and cover. Simmer 5 to 8 minutes or until cabbage is crisp-tender.
Add turkey kielbasa, apple and sweet potatoes. Increase heat to high and bring mixture to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer 3 to 5 minutes or until apple is crisp-tender and all ingredients are hot.
If using regular turkey kielbasa or turkey sausage, sodium = 798 mg.
