Boil, steam or microwave carrots until partially cooked. Drain well.
Heat oil in a skillet. Sauté carrot, garlic, basil, cumin, paprika, and salt until tender. Remove from heat. Remove garlic cloves. Mix in lemon juice and parsley.
Serve hot accompanying a main dish.
