1 small onion, finely chopped
12 oz firm tofu *
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 Tbsp water
1 Tbsp water, extra
2/3 cup rolled oats
2 Tbsp torula yeast **
2 Tbsp Loma Linda Patty Mix, or similar
1 Tbsp canola oil, extra
Mash tofu well with a fork, or process lightly in a food processor. Add onion, garlic salt, soy sauce, 1 tablespoon water, oats, yeast, and patty mix to tofu. Mix well to bind. Shape into 12 patties.
Heat extra 1 tablespoon oil in skillet over medium heat. Gently fry each side of patties 6 to 7 minutes until crisp and brown.
