1 onion, chopped 2 tsp olive oil 2 Tbsp chili powder 1 (12 oz.) can beer 3 (15.5 oz.) cans low-sodium kidney beans, rinsed 2 (20 oz.) cans low-sodium tomatoes, diced or whole 1 cup brown sugar, unpacked 1/2 cup molasses 1 Tbsp hot sauce (such as Crystal hot sauce), or to taste 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar 1 clove garlic, diced, or ¼ tsp. garlic powder Directions:
Stir in the chili powder and beer. Add beans and tomatoes, stir. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally. When turkey-bean mixture is done and cooking well, add brown sugar, molasses, vinegar, hot sauce and garlic. Bring to a boil, then turn down to low heat. Simmer for as long as you desire (for fuller flavor, the longer the better). Microwave Directions:
