Ingredients:

Traditional holiday eggnog is made with rich, high calorie, high fat ingredients. Although this traditional recipe is non-alcoholic, many recipes also call for 1+ cup of rum or brandy.

The Eggnog Wassail madeover recipe trades the whole milk and heavy cream for nonfat eggnog. Spicing it with apple cider, this eggnog blends fall and winter flavors together, making it a special nog for the holidays!
  Recipe Makeover

3 quarts (12 cups) nonfat eggnog
    1 1/2 quarts apple cider
    1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
    4 whole cloves

  Traditional Recipe

    12 eggs
    2 cup sugar
    4 cup heavy cream
    4 cup whole milk
    2 Tbsp vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Directions:

Combine eggnog, cider and spices in a large pot. Heat on low, stirring occasionally. Remove cloves and pour into glasses.

Can be served warm or cold.

Variations:

Can replace the nonfat eggnog with an equal amount of Silk Nog or reduced-fat honey-sweetened eggnog, if desired.
