Tender sprouts tossed in almonds, bacon and onion.
Suggestions: Choose small, bright green brussels sprouts as they are the sweetest and most tender.

4 lean bacon strips, chopped (such as Jennie-O)
1 onion, chopped
100 g margarine or buttery spread *
1/2 cup flaked or slivered almonds
Cook bacon and onion in a large pan, medium heat, until bacon is crisp and onion is soft. Drain fat and remove from pan.
Add margarine to pan and when bubbling, add brussels sprouts, cover and cook, shaking the pan often, for 10 minutes or until sprouts are tender. Add almonds, bacon and onion, and toss to combine. Serve.
