Mmmmm, easy fresh strawberry "cream" pie! Yum!

Ingredients:

    1 1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/3 cup melted margarine or butter
    1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
    1 cup skim milk
    0.94 L basket California strawberries, stemmed
    1 Tbsp powdered sugar, for dusting

Directions:

    GRAHAM CRACKER CRUST: Heat oven to 375F. In bowl mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted margarine or butter until thoroughly blended. Press crumb mixture firmly onto bottom and side of 9-inch pie plate. Bake in center of preheated oven about 8 minutes until lightly brown; cool.

    CLASSIC STRAWBERRY PIE: In bowl, whisk pudding mix and milk 2 minutes; chill 30 minutes. Spread pudding evenly in pie crust. Cover top of pie with strawberries, pointed ends up. Dust lightly with powdered sugar.

Variations:

    Instant vanilla pudding mix can be replaced by homemade Vanilla Custard (see recipe link).

    9-inch prepared graham cracker pie crust can be substituted for homemade crust.
