A variation of the meatball, this is comfort food at its yummiest.

17 1/2 oz (95%) lean ground beef
2 1/2 oz uncooked rice
1 cup Italian tomato sauce
2 1/2 cup water
Mix breadcrumbs, egg and ground beef together. Make into 12 balls. Roll rice into meatballs and place in casserole dish.
Mix Italian tomato sauce with water, and pour over meat balls. Cover and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
Mix Italian tomato sauce with water, and pour over meat balls. Place in microwave dish, cover and cook on HIGH for 20 minutes.
Canned reduced-sodium tomato soup may be substituted for Italian tomato sauce (can add Italian herbs to taste).
Can replace whole egg with yolk-free egg substitute.
